Andrologist

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine (FIRM) is the region’s largest infertility clinic, specializing in fertility services, including insemination (AI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg and sperm donor programs, and egg and sperm bank preservation, in Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Tallahassee, FL, and both Thomasville and Valdosta, GA. We are seeking a junior andrologist to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

Ensure proper labeling of all specimens
Set-up patient semen collection rooms
Process sperm for inseminations, IVF procedures, and cryopreservation.
Perform manual semen analysis counts, direct antibody testing, and sperm morphology readings.
Run chemistry blood analyzer for female hormone testing.
Maintain cryopreservation inventory and liquid nitrogen tanks.
Perform and document QC/QA and ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations
Must be able to work independently as well as collaborate with multidisciplinary team
Receive/ship cryopreserved gametes and embryos.
Witness embryo freezing and biopsy.

Requirements:

An ideal candidate can work in a team, work independently, and is eager to learn and implement new techniques. To
be considered for this opportunity you must have:

Minimum of a B.S. and M.S. in biology, chemistry or a related field with 0-2 years of laboratory experience.
Attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills are also required. Candidates should
also be able to multitask and have a collaborative and proactive attitude.
Green card holder or citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

Clinical Laboratory Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Laboratory Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
